Brighton College is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Senior Administrator (Common Room). This position provides critical support to academic staff and is essential to the successful operation of the College's Common Room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to academic staff, including collating pupil reports, recording key meetings, and managing school trips.
  • Liaise with the Second Master to coordinate the completion, printing, and distribution of pupil internal flags, progress grades, short reports, and long reports.
  • Take and distribute minutes for weekly Common Room morning briefings, after-school House Masters/Mistresses meetings, and Common Room AGM meetings.
  • Organize mail outs and produce parental address labels for the Blue Book and various other labels throughout the term.
  • Produce routine lists, such as staff lists, term dates, and house fire registers.
  • Support the Deputy Heads and Exams Office as required, including ensuring all appropriate start-of-term data has been completed and collected from pupils.
  • Utilize mail merge to create teacher badges and pupil guide labels for Open Morning.
  • Ensure all pupil contact detail information is compliant by updating iSAMS throughout the term.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel, including the ability to perform mail merges.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages, such as PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • Previous experience working with databases and iSAMS or similar school timetabling systems.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break.

This is a term-time appointment, with 35 weeks of work and three weeks of holiday.
