About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our team at Mears, providing repair and maintenance services to approximately 4,500 Dover District Council properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake construction, fault finding, and maintenance repairs to a high standard, adhering to agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Process all activities electronically using a handheld device, including worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence, and van stock replenishment.
  • Utilize existing stock or collect materials as required to meet works order needs, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Attend informal and formal meetings, training sessions, and participate in call-out cover as needed.
Requirements
  • UK Full driving license
  • IT literacy
  • Previous experience in carpentry
  • NVQ level 3
  • Any knowledge or experience in social housing is an advantage
  • Provide own tools
