Job Summary
iRecruit UK, a leading recruitment agency for the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a high-profile Substation Extension Project in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Tier 1 contractor on a critical infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the work of site and section engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate temporary works and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage construction activities, including reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame buildings, to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Contribute to project planning, execution, and quality control, ensuring that all aspects of the project are well-coordinated and managed.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Previous experience with lifting operations and temporary works coordination is highly desirable.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on construction sites, particularly in substation projects, with a strong background in reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame construction.
- Experience in Temporary Works Coordination and lifting operations is essential, with a good understanding of related safety practices.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers, with excellent communication and project management skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including CDM and HSE guidelines.
