Data Analyst Role

KDR Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading Commodities Data Analytics company to find their next Data Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in data and software.

The Company

Our client is a global software company providing innovative solutions in data management, data analysis, and business automation within the energy/commodity trading space. They're seeking a talented and experienced client-facing Data Analyst to join their dynamic Consulting team focusing on blue-chip clients within energy/commodity trade or risk management operations.

The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of high-quality data projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Becoming an expert in our client's data management/analytics platform, supporting clients active in global energy and commodities markets.
  • Identifying prospect/client requirements, designing/implementing data-driven workflows leveraging our client's products and services.
  • Advising on/designing integrations between our client's products and complementary systems/apps.
  • Supporting clients on data feeds—sources, structure, industry standards, publication conventions, deployments, testing.
  • Assisting clients with analytics/transformations on time series, futures, and options data.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a quantitative/mathematics/statistics field.
  • Previous experience in a consulting role, managing external stakeholder relationships.
  • Ideal familiarity with data/analytics specific to energy, finance, insurance, commodities, FX, or interest rates.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL.
  • Foundation skills in IT/coding (e.g. Python, VBA, APIs).
  • Experience engaging with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to integrate, connect, and thrive in a predominantly WFH arrangement.
