Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a Primary school in Margate. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis, and providing emotional support and guidance to help them overcome challenges.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and/or Behavioural Needs. They will also be able to adapt to meet the diverse needs of students, and collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour management plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working primarily with children with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Developing and implementing behaviour management plans in collaboration with teachers and other support staff
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to students to help them overcome challenges

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working as a Behaviour Support Assistant or as a Teaching Assistant is highly desirable
  • Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting is highly desirable
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS on the update service

What We Offer

The salary for this role is £83.33 - £90 per day, paid to scale for all long-term/perm responsibilities. Additionally, you will have access to over 2500 accredited courses through the National College for your CPD at your convenience.
