About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to work directly for the Products Head of Commercial. This role involves focusing on early stages of campaign strategy across the Products group within the BAE Systems Maritime Services business unit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Develop and deliver commercial aspects of campaign strategy in collaboration with Business Development managers and business sector leads.">
  • Provide hands-on commercial knowledge and experience built on a background of competitive and directed tenders for domestic and export bids and programmes.">
  • Support overall campaign strategy with a strong focus on route to contract, negotiation strategies, pricing strategies, and margin and scope growth.">
  • Play an active role in managing and developing the overall commercial team as one of the senior members.">
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.">
  • Demonstrate established and strong commercial/contractual skills gained from a commercial career in the defence or adjacent industries.">

  • An established commercial background within the military/defence/aerospace sector for both UK MOD and export customers.">
  • A professional knowledge of commercial principles, techniques, and practices with self-motivation and ability to work independently.">
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficient with all Microsoft Office products, and confident presenting and communication skills.">
