Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser/Merchandiser

Job Summary:

u&i Search is seeking an ambitious and confident Assistant Merchandiser/Merchandiser to join their team. As a key member of the merchandising team, you will assist account managers and merchandise teams across multiple high street accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate prices with factories and customers to ensure optimal pricing strategies.
  • Raise new orders internally and send them to overseas factories or in-country merchandisers.
  • Verify all details on customer contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with factories and in-country merchandisers daily to discuss approvals and rejections.
  • Update and analyze internal and customer critical paths to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct weekly Skype calls with factories to discuss production progress.
  • Submit sample submissions, including lab dips and strike-offs, to customers.
  • Coordinate between the licensing department and QC department to ensure sample approvals.
  • Liaise with the logistics department to ensure goods are delivered on time.
  • Liaise with the design department to resolve design issues and request high-resolution artwork.
  • Verify label artworks and provide approval to factories.
  • Identify production issues and resolve any problems that arise.
  • Read test reports and send production pieces to the lab.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and attend customer meetings.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of merchandising experience in the fashion industry.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Previous experience in licensing is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages and Outlook.
  • Ability to ensure a smooth handover between departments.
