We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join our team at Renfrewshire Council. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support to Scotland Excel, the Centre of Procurement Expertise for Scotland's local government sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality legal advice and support on complex contracts and procurement agreements
- Assist in the negotiation and drafting of contracts and framework agreements
- Develop and maintain relationships with elected members and clients
- Identify and recommend solutions to complex legal issues
- Work collaboratively with the procurement team to achieve successful outcomes
- Minimum of two years' experience in contracts and procurement law
- Current Practising Certificate from the Law Society of Scotland
- Excellent research and report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
