Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary SEN school in Bexley. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to a child with complex needs, ensuring their educational and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a child with complex needs, promoting their educational and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with personal care needs, maintaining the child's dignity and promoting independence.
  • Engage the child in learning activities using creative and enthusiastic approaches.
  • Support the child in developing social skills and managing behavior.
  • Employ strategies to manage and support children with autism, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience working with children with autism or SEN children in a UK-based school setting.
  • Personal Care: Ability to provide personal care and support to a child with complex needs.
