Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in trauma care and contribute to the education and training of junior doctors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating an embedded weekly in situ simulation program across both adult departments. This will involve working closely with the department's Undergraduate tutor to maintain the learning environment and support the development of students' capabilities in performance and practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the simulation program to enhance clinical skills and teamwork
  • Deliver scheduled undergraduate education for senior medical students
  • Develop ultrasound skills and lead on department and undergraduate ultrasound courses
  • Pursue activities related to postgraduate education, training, and supervision
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine and trauma care, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education or other relevant course is desirable.
