Theatre Art Director

The Royal Shakespeare Company is looking for a highly skilled Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair, and Makeup to lead the team on the production of My Neighbour Totoro at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London.
About the RoleThis is a fixed term contract until March 2026, commencing 17 February 2025. As Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair, and Makeup, you will work closely with the Head of Wigs, Hair, and Makeup to ensure the smooth running of rehearsals and shows from a wigs, hair, and makeup perspective.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the maintenance and preparation of wigs for the duration of the show's run.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Wigs, Hair, and Makeup to achieve seamless show running.
You will require previous experience in a senior role of a Wigs, Hair, and Makeup department, with a strong background in theatre productions. This includes:
Required Skills and Qualifications- Practical working knowledge of working with multiple hair textures.
- Hair cutting experience in a theatrical setting.
- Theatrical makeup experience.
We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
