Dietitian Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Dietitian to join our Critical Care team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nutrition and dietetic care to critically unwell patients.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Dietitian to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. You will be responsible for providing specialist clinical work, supporting service development, auditing, and supervising junior team members. You will work closely with the critical care and trauma dietetic leads, as well as a rotational band 6 and dietetic assistant.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist nutrition and dietetic assessments to all patients admitted to Critical Care.
- Make dietary recommendations after calculation of nutritional requirements based on interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometry, anatomy, and physiology, clinical condition/prognosis, and other physical parameters.
- Work closely with ward teams and the wider MDT to further develop the service and deliver a high-quality of care.
- Involved in MDTs, ward rounds, service development, data collection, and interpretation to aid quality improvement work.
