Technical Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Gardline. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out laboratory tests, such as moisture content, PSD sedimentation, plasticity index, and particle density.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all samples are properly handled and stored according to ASTM and ISO standards. This may involve working away at sea on our drill vessels, where you will take seabed samples, photograph, preserve, and label them for later onshore testing.

Key requirements for this role include holding an A-level standard in Chemistry or Geology or a related subject (desirable), experience of working in a laboratory environment (desirable), and a good command of written and spoken English. Additionally, you must be able to travel worldwide (mainly Europe and US) for work.
