Procurement Strategist

As a leading provider of high-quality food products, The People Co. / Supply Jobs is seeking an experienced Procurement Strategist to join our team in Co. Monaghan.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven track record of negotiating contracts, developing relationships with suppliers, and implementing cost-saving strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Negotiation: Work with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and conditions, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality materials.
2. Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
3. Procurement Planning: Collaborate with the operations team to forecast material requirements, aligning procurement plans to meet business needs.
4. Budget Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the Food manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Salary Range: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum.
