We are seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Cost Manager to join our team on a high-profile aviation project based in west London.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a key commercial management role, supporting the implementation of contract changes and managing all post-contract commercial activities. You will work closely with contractors to maintain transparency and data integrity, minimizing risks of inaccurate information.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in airport projects and be able to evaluate cost impacts of alternate delivery strategies. They will also support the procurement process, providing best value by developing optimum delivery strategies into procurement plans and contract awards inclusive of incentivization.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage sub-programme contract commercial & cost activities, ensuring appropriateness and viability of contract commercial information.
  • Support the procurement process to achieve best value through development of optimum delivery strategies into procurement plans and contract awards.
  • Manage all post-contract commercial activities, including implementation of contract changes, red files, instructed work scope change (PMIs), and award fees recommendations.
  • Maintain transparency and data integrity with contractors, minimizing risks of inaccurate information.
  • Manage sub-programme potential liability through timely response to contractor notifications.
  • Evaluate cost impacts of alternate delivery strategies, inclusive of benchmark assessments, prior to their implementation.
  • Support and guide the Cost & Commercial team as required.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
