About the Role
Mencap is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Chelmsford. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, providing emotional support and assistance with daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with learning disabilities with daily tasks, such as personal care, medication, and household chores.
- Assist with community activities, such as shopping and social events.
- Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships with service users.
- Work collaboratively with a small team to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive impact on people's lives.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract Options
- 30 hours Part-time: flexible hours based on availability.
- Sleep-in available with an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.
Shift Times
- Days: Between 07:00 to 14:30, or 09:00 to 18:00, or 14:30 to 22:00.
