English Teacher for Kids Job Description

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Tunbridge Wells. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering high-quality lessons to students aged 11-16. You will also be expected to monitor student progress, set targets, and take appropriate action to ensure all students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students aged 11-16.
  2. Monitor student progress, set targets, and take appropriate action to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
  3. Contribute to the development of the English department and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  4. Set homework regularly to consolidate and extend learning and encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning.
  5. Track student progress, monitoring achievement against targets set, and take appropriate action on student outcomes.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in English or any other related field.
  2. Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications.
  3. Proven experience of teaching English at the secondary or higher education level.
