We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our education team at Aspris Children's Services. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and young people with their educational activities, while also providing emotional and social support to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering educational activities to meet the needs of our students.
- Provide individualized support to students with varying degrees of emotional and behavioral difficulties, autism, ADHD, and associated difficulties.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs).
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting, preferably in a SEMH setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our students and staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
