Service Engineer Position with Leading Steel Fabrication Machinery Supplier

A reputable supplier of steel fabrication machinery is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join their team. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and servicing metal fabrication machine tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Installation and commissioning of metal fabrication machine tools
  2. Routine service and inspection checks to company standards
  3. Breakdown maintenance, including electrical and mechanical repairs
  4. Fault finding and diagnosis
  5. Full installation, setup, levelling, and geometry checks
  6. Providing end-user support, training, and demos
  7. Collaboration with the technical helpdesk, service manager, and other engineers
  8. Use of laptop and tablet for service and maintenance reports, timesheets, and expenses

This role offers a strong basic salary, paid door-to-door, overtime paid at Time & 1⁄2, daily lunch allowance, company vehicle or car, fuel card, and credit card for expenses. The company also provides 28 days of holiday, a contributory pension scheme, and more.

Requirements:
  1. Previous experience as a field service engineer with a similar OEM of laser, cutting, or press machinery
  2. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical repairs to machine tools, working safely with electrical circuits and wiring
  3. Ability to work independently on site with customers, while collaborating with the team and helpdesk when needed
  4. Full clean driver's license
