Travelers is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate Underwriting Operations to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient production of underwriting services to support our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the underwriting community, facilitating the end-to-end underwriting lifecycle from pre-quote processing to delivery of new business quotes, renewal terms, and endorsements.
- Develop and maintain expertise in underwriting operations capabilities, leading comprehensive training and development of associates and other key stakeholders.
- Support the Europe Operations Management team in closing Corporate Audit corrective actions and other related internal controls assurance work.
- Monitor and support regulatory compliance, adhering to Travelers Enterprise values and policies.
- Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and review of Europe Operations standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with agreed standard formats and templates.
- Oversee training and onboarding, supporting Europe Operations and other TRV Europe business functions.
- Represent EU Operations in internal stakeholder meetings, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships across Travelers Europe.
- Customer-centric approach with a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to support change.
- Highly motivated, capable of independent work, and comfortable in a collaborative working environment.
- Detail-focused with a high degree of accuracy in work.
- IT literate with a solid proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in supporting staff recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development.
- Progressing well with professional insurance qualifications.
- Previous experience in commercial insurance products and services.
- Demonstrable experience of using data analysis and data insights to monitor operational performance.
- Demonstrable experience of process documentation, including procedures and process mapping.
- Familiarity with market-leading core underwriting and support applications.
- Private Medical Insurance: Eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for dependents.
