Cloud Solutions Architect Job Description

Citi's Operations & Technology organization (O&T) is driving an innovative Cloud First strategy that optimizes the IT environment, reduces complexity, and implements automation to enable agile application delivery. We leverage cloud scale architectures to give Citi businesses a competitive edge. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will design and implement cloud architecture that enables infrastructure for application hosting in public cloud using Citi's engineering processes and best practices, with emphasis on automation and security by design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create foundational infrastructure for public cloud using automation tools on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Design and create tests for infrastructure deployment using Terratest and other tools.
  • Work with the pipeline team to ensure end-to-end automation of deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policy by implementing accurate requirements traceability and verifiable security controls.
  • Implement cloud network services to enable fast, resilient, and secure hybrid cloud.
  • Develop and share engineering best practices using a modern SDLC approach that enables CI/CD and emphasizes automation, auditability, automated testing, and infrastructure/policy as code.
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of complex cloud systems.
  • Develop and advocate for cloud-native solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
  • Hands-on experience developing software using languages such as Golang, Java, Kotlin, Python, C++, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Experience working in a distributed, containerized cloud-based environment using Azure/AWS/GCP.
