Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surface Mount Engineer to join our team at ENS Recruitment. As a Surface Mount Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the SMT department with all technical aspects of the SMT process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Creation: Develop and implement Surface mount programs for Mycronic SMT machines to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Component Packaging: Create SMT Packages component packages to meet production requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve the efficiency and accuracy of Mycronic pick and place machines to optimize production.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot printing and placement errors to minimize downtime and ensure quality production.
  • Line Support: Provide line-side process support for paste machines, reflow ovens, AOI, and associated machinery to ensure smooth production.
  • Profile Creation: Create custom reflow profiles using data collection software to optimize production.
  • Breakdown Support: Assist with repair of breakdowns with the support of 3rd-party providers.
  • New Product Introduction: Attend new product introduction meetings and assist production teams to ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience with manufacturing machinery in an engineering support role.
  • Desirable Skills: Previous electronics manufacturing industry experience, good knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, ability to make decisions under pressure, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, good communication skills both written and verbal, and proficient computer skills.
