Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team at Primark Teesside. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, maintaining a high level of store standards, and contributing to the success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a high level of store standards, including visual merchandising, stockroom organization, and cash handling procedures.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and returns.
  • Assist with receiving and processing stock deliveries, ensuring accurate stock levels and maintaining a clean and organized stockroom.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a visually appealing and engaging store environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive store atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to lift and move stock, standing for long periods, and working in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
