We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Engineer to join our team at UK Power Networks. As an Operational Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering construction and maintenance programs for our distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver construction and maintenance programs for distribution systems through the range 33kV to 400V.
- Work with the Lead Operational Engineer to ensure that all programs of work are delivered to time and budget following contractual commitments to time, cost, and quality.
- Manage budgets relating to construction and maintenance delivery and meet ongoing goals.
- Assist the Lead Operational Engineer in the development of the ongoing Network Asset Management Plan (NAMP).
- Represent UK Power Networks at meetings with clients and contractors.
- Senior Authorized Person as defined by the Distribution Safety Rules.
- Experience in distribution systems through the range 33kV to 400V.
- Security clearance for client infrastructure access.
- Medical and drugs and alcohol screening.
- Educated to HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of distribution HV systems.
- Knowledge of building services systems.
- Ability to read drawings and understand content.
- Ability to work in different environments.
- Ability to identify problems, understand main issues, and investigate alternatives.
- Full driving license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, MS Project, and other custom software packages.
- Broad understanding of UK Power Networks' businesses.
- Knowledge of UK Power Networks' PG&C process.
- Ability to travel around the Stansted Regional office client portfolio.
- Broad understanding of the Airport Sector's clients' requirements and customer-owned private networks.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Relevant safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations.
