Job Description:

Blue Arroww is seeking an experienced Culinary Lead to join their team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading the shift in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals and snacks.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and oversee a team of kitchen assistants. They will also possess strong culinary skills, with experience in preparing and cooking a range of meals in line with meal plans and recipes.

A salary of £57 per hour is offered for this role, making it an attractive opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in the culinary industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the kitchen service and kitchen assistants during the shift.
  2. Prepare and cook a range of meals in line with meal plans and recipes that are high quality, suitable for those with specific needs, and appetising.
  3. Follow specific standards and guidelines when preparing and cooking meals for those with special dietary requirements, including those that require modification and the use of medical products such as thickeners.
  4. Serve food and beverages that consider residents' needs, dietary requirements, and preferences, and in line with portion guidelines.
  5. Clean the kitchen in line with cleaning schedules and guidelines to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  6. Ensure all food safety standards are followed and records, such as temperatures, are accurately recorded.
