Network Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at Leidos UK & EUROPE. As a key member of our engineering capability, you will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions to support our customers' success.
Key Responsibilities- Support the production network service through availability monitoring, incident resolution, and service request fulfilment.
- Perform network equipment installations and configure and test provided configurations.
- Occasional travel to other Leidos and customer sites may be required, along with out-of-hours support based on a 1-in-6 rota of 7-day periods.
- DV clearance or the ability to gain and hold.
- Qualification: Cisco CCNA or CompTIA N+ certified.
- Experience: Working in a Network Operations Centre.
- Documenting processes and procedures.
- Willing to learn and train in relevant network technology.
- Able to comply with security policy as a network administrator.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to follow direction from line managers, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- CCNA Collaboration would be preferable.
- Certification: Foundation in service management such as ITIL.
- Experience with configuration and administration of high-grade encryption devices.
- Experience with DM VPN protocol.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG.
- Experience with coding languages such as Python and their use to enhance network automation and monitoring.
- Experience in supporting front-end Voice over IP (VoIP) devices.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
- Experience with configuring and maintenance of Cisco Call Manager.
