Pre-Construction Manager Opportunity

Clearfield Recruitment Limited is partnering with a reputable construction company in Essex to find an experienced Pre-Construction Manager. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who can lead pre-construction activities and ensure smooth project transitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage pre-construction activities from project inception to start on-site, ensuring a seamless transition to the delivery team.
  • Develop accurate pre-construction programmes and project schedules.
  • Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, creating scope packages and conducting pre-tender negotiations.
  • Attend client meetings and liaise with stakeholders to clarify project requirements and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pre-Construction Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, design management, and cost control.
  • Excellent understanding of tendering procedures, procurement, and contract management.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects at the pre-construction stage.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Commercially astute with experience in budget development and financial forecasting.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
