Job Description

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous functionality of all systems, including voice communication systems, complex IT networking, and cyber security protection services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Install, monitor, maintain, and administer systems, infrastructure, and software.
  • Issue Escalation: Escalate issues promptly to appropriate colleagues, management team, or suppliers as necessary.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Ensure actions taken are logged, root causes are investigated and understood, and future requirements are captured.
  • Infrastructure Management: Contribute to the development and creation of maintenance and replacement plans for our systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Equipment Procurement: Research and specify replacement equipment and assist with the procurement and assessment of new equipment, services, or systems.
  • Project Management: Project manage replacement projects or provide a significant contribution as a key member of a project team.
  • Documentation: Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, change control, approval, and asset records.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge or understanding of server infrastructure (Hyper-V/HP), networking infrastructure (Fortigate, NEC, CISCO), cyber security infrastructure (Dark Trace, Syslog), telecoms infrastructure, and cyber security principles as a minimum Cyber Essentials.
  • Education: Not specified.

Working Hours: 35 hour working week, with 2 days WFH after the initial settling in period has commenced.

Salary: £60k-£70k + Good Benefits.
