About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team at Backline Logistic Support Services Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our clients in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a variety of vehicles, including Class 1 and 2 trucks, Hiab, Dust Cart, Skip, Ro-Ro, Plant Machinery, and ADR vehicles
  • Complete all relevant paperwork for deliveries and/or collections as required
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks and defect reports are completed
  • Liaise with your line manager to communicate any issues relevant to the work you have been allocated
  • Adhere to all relevant road traffic and working time regulations
  • Maintain accurate driving hours, working time, and rest period/break records using the appropriate method (digi/analogue tachograph)
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Class 2 driving license for a minimum of 1 year
  • Maximum 6 points for minor offences
  • Experience essential
  • Looking for flexibility and variation
  • Looking for appreciation and a good team ethic
  • A good knowledge and experience of driving all types of trucks
  • Eager to learn new skills
  • An appreciation of good customer service
  • Hiab ticket and experience an advantage
