Support Worker - Portlethen

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals living in a Supported Living service.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing individualized support to people in their own homes and within the community. This will involve getting to know their likes and dislikes, ensuring their needs are met, and supporting them with daily tasks such as personal care, moving and handling, and day-to-day living skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with personal care, moving and handling, and day-to-day tasks
  • Assist with cooking, cleaning, shopping, attending health appointments, budgeting, and managing finances
  • Support individuals with activities within their local community, including swimming
  • Work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends
Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, although full training will be provided. You will be expected to work in Portlethen, Stonehaven, and Aberdeenshire. Part of your training will include shadow shifts with an experienced member of staff.
