Sales Manager National - Robot Automation for Third-Party Logistics Job Summary

This field sales position focuses on promoting robot automation for use within mezzanine floor applications. The successful candidate will develop and manage relationships with system integrators, main contractors, and trade customers.

About the Role

  • Field sales position promoting robot automation for mezzanine floor applications.
  • Develop and manage relationships with system integrators, main contractors, and trade customers.
  • Target third-party logistics and automation, as well as automated warehousing, distribution, commercial office, production, retail, self-storage, and storage.
  • New product for our client, hence predominantly a new business development role.
  • Anticipated project sizes circa £1m (floor area over 3,000m2-5,000m2), but will range up to potentially £5m.
  • Initial focus on the UK, with opportunities to develop business in Europe once established.
  • Realistic target for year one is approximately a couple of orders and the development/establishment of a sales pipeline.
  • Reporting to the main board.

Requirements

  • Must have some knowledge of 3PL/third-party logistics or automation sectors.
  • Demonstrable track record within field sales and business development.
  • Knowledge of robots for automation is ideal but not essential.
  • Associated products such as warehousing doors and infrastructure, mezzanine floors, logistics and destruction systems, storage, and self-storage applications may be advantageous.
  • Engineering field sales experience preferred, a degree within an engineering discipline may prove helpful.
  • Contacts within system integrators, main contractors, or distributors are not essential.
  • Comfortable with sales and delivery of technically complex, engineered systems.
  • Entrepreneurial, innovative, and creative.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and positive outlook.
