About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our Rail division at VolkerWessels UK. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design aspects of tenders and current projects, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design aspects of tenders and current projects, including design assurance and documentation requirements.
  • Lead and provide a professional, comprehensive, and sustainable design service for the client at bid/delivery stage.
  • Experience in Rail Design Assurance and Documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of Design & Engineering Procedures.
  • Have a solid understanding of design processes, CAD systems, drawings, and models.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of designers and engineers.
  • Experience on both single-stage tenders and preferred terms work procurement routes.
  • Experience on bidding and winning work.
