About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at Powys Teaching Health Board. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in leading a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care to patients in the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Operational Team Lead in leading the team and ensuring the delivery of a clinically effective nursing service.
  • Provide assessment, treatment, and care coordination to patients in the community.
  • Be accountable for an identified caseload and provide supervision to the team.
  • Liaise with partner agencies and deal with concerns.
  • Chair and engage in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Monitor standards of practice within the team.
  • Recruit and appoint staff, manage absence, and deploy and allocate duties.
Requirements
  • Live registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse.
  • Degree/Diploma in Nursing.
  • Post-registration qualification or significant experience in Mental Health.
  • Management/Leadership qualification or equivalent preparation/experience.
  • Knowledge and skills to manage patients with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of current nursing issues within NHS care systems.
  • High level of knowledge of NMC code of conduct and professional standards/guidance.
  • In-depth understanding of the function/operations of CMHT.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Independent Prescribing Qualification.
  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice.
