Job Title: Pre-School Setting Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our pre-school setting, providing a high-quality provision for children and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment that promotes positive outcomes for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of senior management, coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the pre-school setting, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide a safe, well-organized, and maintained learning environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Manage the learning environment, including setting up, preparing, and maintaining learning resources, creating displays of children's work, and preparing areas of continuous provision.
  • Undertake necessary administrative tasks, including completion of returns and admission arrangements, to ensure the smooth operation of the setting.
  • Ensure the setting is compliant with relevant policies and procedures, including child protection, health, safety, and security, confidentiality, and data protection.
  • Contribute to the self-evaluation of provision, ensuring that it meets the needs of children and families, and is in line with relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Take on the role of 'Person in Charge' under relevant regulations, ensuring the setting is managed in accordance with legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of early years education and childcare.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including child protection, health, safety, and security, confidentiality, and data protection.
