About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our IDS Strategic Sourcing team as a Strategic Sourcing Officer. As a key member of the team, you will assist in the effective and efficient delivery of procurement and sourcing projects, providing guidance on the Council's Contract Procedure Rules and general procurement rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of Invitation to Tender and other procurement documentation.
  • Provide guidance on the Council's Contract Procedure Rules and general procurement rules and regulations.
  • Deal effectively with all types of enquiries from colleagues within the Digital and Information Service, the wider Council and external organisations.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Support the provision of detail on IDS contracts in relation to Freedom of Information and similar requests.
About You

We are looking for a highly organized and numerate individual with excellent communication and analytical skills. You will have experience of working effectively on your own initiative and with minimum supervision, and be able to prioritize and organize work while maintaining flexibility to deal with conflicting demands and strict deadlines.
