Job Title: Educational Psychology Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Educational Psychology Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Psychology Graduate, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in education, particularly within Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Use your psychological knowledge to support students' wellbeing and promote a positive learning environment.
* Help students overcome challenges in their learning, behaviour, and personal growth, working closely with teaching staff and SEN coordinators.
* Occasionally assist with behaviour management and pastoral care, using insights from your psychology studies.

Requirements:

* Psychology degree or similar is ideal but not essential.
* Previous experience working with children or young adults in any capacity (volunteering, tutoring, mentoring) is preferred.
* Knowledge or interest in SEN, SEMH, or child development is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to support children with varying educational needs.
* Hold or be willing to process an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
* Able to provide two professional child-related references.
