Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Warren Hill, a Cat C adult male prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and safe operation of the prison's facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Contribute to the rehabilitation and positive change of prisoners
Requirements:
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
