Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at WorkwithYork. As a key member of our Capital Projects team, you will be responsible for delivering projects within our client's Building Services Planned and Cyclical Investment Programme.

Your primary focus will be on project management, including procurement, site supervision, budget management, and contract administration. You will work closely with our team, contractors, surveyors, architects, and structural engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, architects, and structural engineers to ensure project progress and quality.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including procurement, site supervision, and budget management.
  • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and British Standards.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and mitigate project risks.
Requirements
  • HNC in Building Studies or related subject (NQF level 5) or relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Contract Administration / Forms of Contract etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • Ideal candidate will have a good understanding of asset management within social housing.
  • Technical design knowledge of building repair, renovation, and modernisation works, including writing specifications for materials and quality installation standards.
What We Offer

This is an interim role, initially for 3 months, with the potential for extension. The rate of pay is up to £18.14 per hour, dependent on experience.
