We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Services Director to join our team at Circle Health Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the Nursing Department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Strategically plan and manage the clinical services, ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of the department.
- Provide clear direction and leadership to all clinical staff, supporting the initiatives of the hospital and ensuring the achievement of CQC Standards.
- Responsible for the deployment, supervision, and teaching of staff within the clinical area, supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.
- Maintain a professional, cost-effective department service, including financial management and business planning.
- Work clinically as required, with a minimum of one clinical shift per week.
- Ensure the provision of individualized patient care, promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing and interests of all patients, employees, and visitors.
- Deal with verbal or written complaints in a timely manner, taking action as required to address any deficiencies highlighted.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary liaison team, providing leadership and management to clinical teams, ensuring an efficient service is maintained at all times.
- Participate in decision-making processes and business development, managing the delivery of clinical care as lead on Clinical Safety.
- Provide a high standard of individualized essential patient care, ensuring an efficient and courteous service is provided for patients.
- Maintain written records and legal documents to required levels and accepted practice.
- Participate in a programme of quality assurance as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
- Ensure Health and Safety Policies and Practices are understood and followed by the clinical team.
- Deploy staff and resources in accordance with Circle Health Group policies.
- Provide informal staff progress reports and assist in the management of department budgets under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.
- Actively participate in clinical teaching in the ward area, where necessary, and ensure the environment is conducive to continuing education and training programmes.
- Participate in the interview, selection, recruitment, and induction of departmental staff.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically and managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
- Registered Nurse Level 1/Diploma/BSc in Nursing Studies.
- Robust understanding of Clinical Governance requirements for the area.
- Up-to-date knowledge in the area of practice.
- Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
- Recruitment and selection skills.
