Job Title: Financial Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Leader to join our team at Language Insight. This is a full-time position based in Preston, offering an estimated salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

About the Role:

  • This role involves shaping the financial health and operational efficiency of our company, contributing to our reputation as a market leader in the translation industry.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and variance analysis, as well as treasury management and compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years' experience in a similar role, with advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge of XERO or QuickBooks online.

Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and variance analysis
  • Treasury management and compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Financial modelling of new opportunities and business threats
  • Compliance with Companies House regulations, including Confirmation Statement filing and Annual Accounts filing
  • Management of payroll, pensions, and benefits administration
  • Cash flow forecasting and management of working capital
  • Sign off of company accounts and associated working papers

Requirements:

  • Chartered accountant qualification
  • 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge of XERO or QuickBooks online
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
