Strategic Talent Acquisition Manager for Key UK Regions

We're seeking a passionate Strategic Talent Acquisition Manager to join our Talent Acquisition team. Reporting to the TA Regional Leader, this role functions as an Account Manager for assigned multi-site geographies, collaborating with Business Leaders and TA Delivery Teams (In-House & Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)) to translate business needs into hiring results.
This is a key role that will directly contribute to business outcomes driven by Thermo Fisher Scientific's growth trajectory. The successful candidate will be located within a commutable distance from our site in either Basingstoke or Swindon, covering multiple sites with some travel required.
A Day in the Life:
- Partner closely with senior leaders, hiring managers, and HR to understand hiring demand across designated sites.
- E nsure the TA Teams are aware of upcoming requisition volumes across all hiring segments to resource and prepare them.
- Drive accountability and alignment to SLAs and critical metrics from both In-House and RPO providers.
- Collaborate with TA Teams to create and implement sourcing strategies, building and maintaining strong talent pipelines.
- Closely work with TA Business Partners to ensure TA strategy alignment at division and group levels.
- Lead project-based, volume hiring initiatives.
- Support the team in managing priorities to meet business needs.
- Design solutions to hiring challenges and timelines.
- Proactively manage customer relationships, anticipating and addressing issues and concerns.
- Analyse and interpret data to identify hiring trends across multiple sites, informing effective hiring strategies.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Prior experience in RPO, business partnering, project, or relationship management preferred.
- Experience creating and implementing sourcing strategies to meet hiring needs across multiple sites.
- Establishing and maintaining successful relationships.
- Labour market knowledge, talent channels, and candidate insights.
- Data analysis and interpretation skills to drive improvements and define strategy.
- Effective communication – navigating through ambiguity, change, and barriers to execution.
- Navigating partners through complicated situations, driving successful outcomes while effectively setting expectations.
- Understanding of local UK Employment legislation.
Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
