**Role Overview**

As Academic Lead - Complex Needs at Merton College, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to learners with complex needs. This includes developing and delivering tailored study programs, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve the College's strategic objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and implement individualized study programs for learners with complex needs.
  • Assess student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to address gaps in learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver curriculum content, ensuring it meets the needs of learners with complex needs.
  • Act as a Course Leader, taking responsibility for student assessment and accreditation.

**Requirements**

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience working with learners with complex needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SEND and the implications for delivery and promotion of learning in further education.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
