Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop technical solutions for media content workflows and integration.
  • Collaborate in software development processes using Git and deploy cloud monitoring, log aggregation, and alerting tools.
  • Write functional specifications and design documents, as well as repeatable tests and perform technical testing.
  • Write technical documentation and identify areas for improvement and implement service improvement plans.
  • Define cloud resources in code by writing AWS CloudFormation templates and lead for SDVI Rally and supporting post-production systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis, vendor management, and team prioritization of projects and support tickets.

Person Specification:
  • Approx 5 years engineering experience within broadcast media environments.
  • Experienced in Python Development for media content workflows and integration.
  • Strong AWS experience, including Cloud Formation Templates or similar.
  • Experience working on content supply chains, ideally with SDVI Rally or similar.
  • Ability to remain hands-on but lead, motivate, and mentor team members alongside your own workload.
  • Proven understanding of broadcast IT systems, architecture, and software.
  • Proven knowledge of AWS cloud computing and data-driven workflows.
  • Experience writing technical documentation to the level of detail required within 'as built' and handover documentation.
  • Experience adhering to and transforming an architectural design into an implemented cloud system.
  • Ability to apply AWS cloud security principles and permissions best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of post-production, digital, and broadcast workflows.
  • Proven excellent communication skills with an open approach to imparting information in an understandable manner to people of all levels.
  • Knowledge of video formats and transcoding.
  • Project management experience.

About the Role:
This is a permanent position with a salary of up to £75k + benefits. The role will be hybrid, with 2 days a week based in the West London office. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude to information sharing, work on their own initiative, and manage competing priority tasks to deadlines. They will also prioritize and manage expectations to feedback effectively on queries/issues and deliver on business objectives.
