Job Title: IT Risk Solution Architect

Location: Edinburgh, UK (2-3 days per week onsite is required)

Role Type: Contract 6+ months

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an IT Risk Solution Architect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of the API Design and analysis team with responsibility for API Design, aligned to value streams.
  • Conduct analysis of existing systems and define the API contract.
  • Prepare Design Document and presentation for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Global Enterprise/Solution Architects to review end-to-end technical design.
  • Ensure technical design is technically coherent and future-proof, compliant with technology standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify potential delivery risks, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures, and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior management.
  • Provide professional consultancy/support for application teams' queries/requests.
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, particularly with.NET framework, API development, and microservices (.NET core, WCF, c#, RESTful APIs, SOAP, Microservices, SQL, Integration Patterns).
  • Good understanding of RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge or experience in Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) and API design with implementation experience on ESB tools (RabbitMQ).
  • Experience in designing APIs and microservices using DDD principles.
  • IAM products and enterprise security, DB Architecture on cloud, Enterprise Security mechanisms, data security regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, cloud computing, and scalable system architecture.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, Secure Coding practices.
  • Expertise with Cloud Technologies (Azure).
  • Knowledge or experience in Azure APIM.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • Financial systems and banking.
  • Experience with Splunk and App dynamics.
  • Event-driven design and architecture.
  • JIRA and confluence.
  • Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £47,889.41-£96,171.53 per year
