We are seeking an exceptional Maths Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis at our Outstanding school.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

1. Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality and engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with SEND and PP. Use a variety of teaching methods to motivate and inspire students, fostering a love for Maths. Set and mark homework, providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
2. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and revision of the Maths curriculum and schemes of work. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic curriculum.
3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Employ a range of assessment techniques to monitor student progress and understanding. Provide regular, actionable feedback to students and set targets for improvement. Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to progress reports.
4. Student Support and Wellbeing: Establish positive relationships with students, promoting a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a productive learning environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified Maths Teacher with QTS or equivalent
• Experience of teaching Maths to Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
