We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Manager to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a Fire Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors by implementing and maintaining effective fire safety measures.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular fire risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Collaborate with operational managers and PFI partners to ensure site access, road closures, and building works do not compromise fire safety.
- Provide fire safety training and awareness to staff, including fire drills and emergency procedures.
- Investigate and report on fire incidents, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Manage the maintenance of fire safety records and the development of local fire safety manuals.
- Supervise the adequate provision, siting, and maintenance of firefighting equipment, life safety systems, and emergency lighting.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to the Infrastructure Division on fire safety matters.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of fire safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Ability to prepare, produce, and deliver PowerPoint presentations for fire awareness training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
