Main Purpose and Scope of Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a safe, cost-effective, and efficient Civil and Estates Infrastructure across the airport site. This will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including airport management, contractors, regulatory bodies, and external organizations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the maintenance of Civils and Estates Infrastructure, including runways, roads, pavements, and other airport facilities.
  • Coordinating with contractors and staff to resolve infrastructure issues and ensure smooth airport operations.
  • Undertaking duties associated with supporting contractor management, including engineering briefings, inspections, and documentation management.
  • Supporting the management of maintenance, alteration, adaptation, or installation work to relevant airport infrastructure.
  • Providing operational support, technical information, advice, and recommendations on infrastructure to the Civils and Estates Manager and other clients as required.

General Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the airport's facilities.
  • Deputizing for the Civil and Estates Manager when required.
  • Promoting an open culture to ensure opportunities to improve the efficient operation of the business are maximized.
  • Providing good customer relations and third-party training as directed.

Qualifications, Capabilities, and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of a HND in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 2 plus years' experience within a large, complex facilities environment.
  • Experience of working within the Airport or Highways Sector is desirable.
