About the Opportunity

We're looking for skilled physicists and analysts to join our Nuclear and Thermal Analysis team in the Energy business. The role involves supporting the UK nuclear energy sector and may include opportunities in other advanced engineering sectors or globally.



Key Responsibilities


  • Support various projects in reactor physics, shielding, criticality, fuel cycle management, thermal analysis, fault studies, and transient analysis.
  • Contribute to safety case production and boiler analysis.
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality results and provide consultancy services.
  • Develop and grow as a professional through on-the-job training, mentoring, and training courses.
  • Assimilate, analyse, and provide clear and concise judgements on complex technical issues.
  • Cultivate good consultancy skills, including communication, teamwork, adaptability, and time management.


Requirements


  • Nuclear masters and PhDs are preferred, or a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy environment or nuclear sector is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with reactor technologies, nuclear safety assessments, and bid writing or assessment is advantageous.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and consultancy skills are essential.
