Job SummaryThis exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Lead Dispensary Manager. As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing the dispensary at Hollins Park Hospital, ensuring a safe, effective, and timely service in accordance with current legislation and guidance.
Your key responsibilities will include supervising staff, organizing rotas, and covering unexpected absences. You will also hold HR management responsibilities, contributing to the development of our workforce and ensuring they have the necessary skills to deliver excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day co-ordination, management, and operation of the dispensary rota and service, in line with the hours of operation.
- Supervise staff, organize rotas, and cover unexpected absences to ensure continuity of service.
- Hold HR management responsibilities, contributing to the development of our workforce and ensuring they have the necessary skills to deliver excellent patient care.
- Participate in the medicines management seven-day supply service, providing a comprehensive dispensary service to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- BTEC level 3 in pharmaceutical science or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- BTEC Level 4 in dispensing accuracy checking or equivalent qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- NVQ A1 workplace assessor or willingness to work towards.
- Management experience within pharmaceutical services.
- Experience of medicines management services within an NHS context.
- Experience of dispensing and accuracy checking medication.
