Educational Linguist Position

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Educational Linguist to join our team at a faith school in Salford. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting linguistic data to inform English curriculum development and teacher support.

Responsibilities:

Linguistic Analysis: Conduct thorough linguistic analysis to identify areas of strength and weakness in student language use.
* Curriculum Development: Use linguistic insights to inform the development of English curricula, ensuring a cohesive and effective educational experience.
* Teacher Support: Provide linguistic guidance to teachers, helping them to improve their instruction and assessment practices.
* Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with current research in linguistics and education, applying new knowledge to enhance English education.
Requirements:

Master's Degree: Hold a Master's degree in Linguistics or a related field.
* Linguistic Expertise: Possess strong knowledge of linguistic theories and methodologies, including phonetics, phonology, syntax, and semantics.
* Analytical Skills: Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, able to interpret complex linguistic data and draw meaningful conclusions.
* Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with teachers and students, using clear and concise language to explain complex linguistic concepts.
Salary: Approximately £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
